It drops into a 286 or 386 machine (currently only the HP Vectra and two or three specific clones are supported), has an HP-IB bus out the back, and can hold several Mb of RAM on board. Many people have successfully used it for data collection. The BASIC language on the board is _very_ robust and tailored for very fast I/O. What's more, the processor board can run in the background while you run your DOS applications in the foreground. Please forgive the commercial. I just think you would do yourself a favor to at least check out this card.
