When I tried to boot from my Winchester (ST-225) this morning the system "hung" barely into the boot process. I was able to boot from floppy and found that the partition was no longer assigned as disk E:. So I used ASGNPART to reassign the partition. After that I was able to do a directory and access files on disk E:. When I re-set the system and tried to boot once again from the Winchester I got the same result. Again I booted from floppy and found that I had to ASGNPART once again. I tried running DETECT and CHKDSK both of which claim to find no errors on the disk. I thought perhaps the system files had been damaged, so I used SYS to regenerate them and tried again to no avail. Anybody have some advice for me? Cindy Grieb
