The committee has gotten some 600 comments, 400 before the deadline. A privately circulated summary of the last meeting is somewhat omnious. After reading it, my opinion is that the proposed standard is DOA; they'll probably have to chuck it out and start again. I personally favor them adopting the F77 standard as a base and adding bits, pointers, and includes.
