I have not noticed anything recently. Does this reflect a loss of interest or total satisfaction? At the University of Durham (England) we are looking at the P400 and its cheaper relative the P3400, both in their PostScript incarnations as possible replacements for our present equipment. We would be pleased to hear of any experience good or bad with either machine. We would particularly like to know if anyone has generated the Computer Modern fonts used by TeX in a form suitable for these printers. The dot spacing is a rather unusual 406dpi. (Actually I think that it is 16 dot/mm = 406.4dpi) The price difference suggests that the imaging engines in the two machines are completely different. Does anyone have more information on this? If so, one might want different pixel files for character definitions to get the best results. This would disturb us if true. I will see replies sent to laser-lovers but as we are in rather a hurry, I would appreciate direct mail. I am really at the UK Durham address which should be reachable via BITnet but the University of Michigan EDU address may be easier and works well for me. Thanks in advance.
