The consensus seems to be that the only easy way to get a page count after each job is to print out the test page which contains a page count for the machine. This can be done with a Z spooled after the print job, or by holding the "print fonts/test" button down for one second. Thanks to the 2 people who replied, hope this helps the people who sent me mail asking for the same information.
