From the Distributed Name Service Architecture book, available only in "Draft" form as far as I know, here is a quotation-- "NOTE-- All Simple Names containing dollar signs "$" are reserved for use by Digital and may not be assigned by customers." Given that, and what is planned for us with DNS, I would not dare suggest that anyone do the contrary--but what do I know-- Hope this helps ------
