I thought that NNTP (NetNews Transport Protocol, created at Berkeley),
was exactly `news' over TCP/IP. (Or is NNTP only applicable in a
situation where you have common administration of the machines
involved?) You have to re-install more software than if you just
introduced TCP/IP at the UUCP level, though.
