     No problem at all.  I've run mine that way almost from the day I got it.
I don't have it under the table, but I don't think there'd be much problem
with cable lengths.  You might want to get one of those "tower stands," or
whatever they're called, to keep your Ami above the level of any spilled
water.  One nice thing for me is that this puts the drives just at hand level
when my elbow is resting on the table.  Ergonomics in action!  :-)
