This looks like a compiler error in generating the executable
code. Both SAVXY2 and SAVXYZ are defined by the same
equation -- if there is any problem with round-off error,
the error should be the same in both cases. I would guess
that the -FPX option on the fortran compiler is generating
incorrect code in this case.
