I'm not surprised to find games copy protected, but copy protection schemes that require a cold boot probably are "shooting themselves in the foot." And, why not a scheme that permits a single backup (most Broderbund software does that) or at least contains a backup disk with the original purchase? Frankly, everytime I buy a program with one of those "send $10 for a backup disk" inserts I appreciate all the more those frequent, modestly priced, updates from Central Point.
