Lines: 10 Thankfully these virus checkers have been distributed in SOURCE form so we can check them out before running them! Otherwise they would be prime targets for viruses, much like Copy II+ has been (BBS copies, not ones legitimately obtained). The computer equivalent of "safe sex" is SOURCE CODE. Start insisting on it. Don't run binaries unless you have confidence that they have not been infected (e.g. you got them directly from a reputable commercial source, or you have thoroughly disassembled and understood the binary - in which case you would have been better off with source).
