I am *also* not a hardware buff so I also would appreciate comments on the subject, in general, and on my article, in particular. The article appeared in the French microcomputer magazine "Micro Systemes", July-August 1988 issue. The article described the theory of accessing more memory on a 1040 ST and then showed a printed-circuit diagram of a circuit that they called "Super Glue" which would override the "Glue" chip in the 11.5 Megs available over the 4 meg limit. In fact, the circuit adapts the ST to an external G96 bus on which, I suppose, the memory should be connected; there is *no* memory on the card, just a couple of buffers and 3 PALs. They mentioned that certain parts of the installation were quite delicate. In fact, when everything was assembled they seemed to imply that the result would probably not fit back into the ST case; they suggested buying another case. I would appreciate any knowledgeable information on this subject. Has anyone read this article? (I don't know how hard it is to get in the U.S.) As always, I still (sigh!) don't get the newsgroups, just info-atari16, so please reply directly to me. Thanx. You do not have to reply before going on vacation -- so have fun first. Ralph P.
