They got a > good mini-review in the July 88 Byte, and the price looks very nice. I've got the older 386/16. Has been running (unix) continuously since I bought it without a glitch. Very fast, no problems of any kind. They have an 800 for sales of course, but also have 800 numbers for customer support and technical assistance (unusual for a manufacturer). If you buy a system (ie, computer with video and hard disk) you get a one-year *on-site* warranty (provided by Honeywell). You have a 30-day money-back guarantee - buy it, try it out for a month, and if you don't like it, send it back. The 310 is one of the fastest 386s out there (the 25MHz machines would be faster, but I don't know who is shipping as opposed to who has announced availability :-). The down side to this is the way that speed is achieved: the "bulk" DRAM is fairly exotic "static"-column 80ns stuff I think. This means that right now extra memory is real expensive. -- James R.
