Lines: 26 Recently, I decided the time had come to do away with "ERROR 207" for good. Thus, I entered into the Chip Race and joined the teeming masses in the attempt to find more memory. I called a company (which shall, for now, remain nameless) and got an answering service. "Sure, we have the 512K board, it'll only be (insert very low figure here)." I said, fine, send it to me. Tonight, I receive a phone call. "There's a two month back-order on those boards. Now, if you'd like, I can send you a new experimental board that uses one-meg chips instead of 512K chips. It should run cooler and use a lot less power." I said, fine, go ahead and send me one. Now, the difference in price between the two is not inconsiderable. The immediate questions I have are: 1) Am I being taken? 2) Can four one-meg chips be configured to be 512K in a CoCo 3? 3) Is this a silly posting, and should I have known enough about hardware to not have to have posted it in the first place? (No flamage, just honesty, thanks.) Email me answers, and if necessary, I'll post a summary. Thanks in advance. -- ******************************************************************************* * This is where we walked. Swam. Hunted. Danced. Sang. Take a picture here. * * James E.
