This will probably be an un-welcome suggestion, but I think you'll find that it'll cost nearly as much as buying a new plus, and you'll have a *old* machine with possible power supply problems, etc. Upgrading memory via 3rd party (Dove, etc) is practical, but you need the ROMS and disk from Apple (about $300) and you'll also need SCSI. I don't think you could do it for less than $900-$1000, and a street-price Mac Plus is about $1350 ($1150 through University Purchase Plan). In most of the cases I've seen, you'll do better to sell your 128 for $300-$400 and buy a new Mac Plus :-( ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :: Boyd Ostroff, Technical Director :: System Operator, "The CallBoard" :: Department of Theatre, SUNY Oswego :: - Serving the performing arts - :: Internet: ostroff@oswego.Oswego.EDU :: (315) 947-6414, 300/1200 baud, 8N1 :: Voice: (315) 341-2138 :: UUCP ...sunybcs!oswego!cboard!ostroff :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
