I'm trying to achieve high-quality output on my (new) ImageWriterII.
Due to an alignment problem, letters are slightly ragged when the 
printer, in "best" mode, prints bidirectionally.  I had thought 
that the IW printed left to right as its default, and switched to 
bidirectional if one held down option-shift-caps lock while
clicking ok in the print dialog box.  Mine, at least, seems _always_ to
print bidirectionally, except occasionally (but--alas!--not repeatably)
just after I cycle the power to the printer.  

Am I missing something obvious?  Is there an easy way to disable
bidirectional printing?  (Finder 6.0, Sys 4.2, IW driver 2.6, Word 3.02)
