I have no direct experience with the MicroExplorer, but this is what I've
heard:

system price w/Mac II system box:  $14,999
board price w/o Mac II system box: $11,999

so the the combined price is a minor bargain, if you can't get discounts
normally. Most people can, though.

While this price includes 4MB of RAM, I think, more is usually needed. A
big hard disk would be a real good idea too (I love the new CDC 620 MBs).

The board achieves 50-70% of a standard MicroExplorer's speed under normal
circumstances. I have no idea if it will work with the new DMA SCSI boards
coming, or what benefit they might provide.
