Looking for tools to use with ditroff and European languages:

+ machine-readable dictionaries or word lists for European languages,
  especially those that indicate hyphenation, e.g.,

  ef.fet
  en.fant
  en.fin
  fa.mille

+ Postscript fonts or extensions to PostScript fonts for the European
  languages' national character sets

+ versions of spell(1) or /usr/lib/spell/hlist* (spell(1) word lists)
  for European languages
 
Also want to hear from those with experience in foreign language
text processing with [di]troff and those who can provide references
in the literature.
