Has anybody ever tried to do this particular combo before? I've taken a good squizz at Bill Reeves' driver under BSD, but remain slightly in the dark about the problems involved. The board has this peculiar (in the Unix context anyway) feature of being a character oriented device with the ability to do DMA transfers. Of course, I can tell the system not to swap it out, and bump up its prioirity, but I cant guarantee exclusive access to the bus etc etc. Anybody got any ideas, past experience etc? Cheers, Stephen ACSnet shocking@physiol.oz UUCP ...!uunet!munnari!physiol!shocking
