I am trying to have an entry set up to bring up a window with bc running in it. What I have so far doesnt work - bc says that it cannot read input and dies. I have: BC: !"xterm =20x20-0-0 -fn 6x10 -e bc -l ~/.bcrc " as my menu entry. ~/.bcrc contains some startup info (like default scale, etc.) What is weird is that I type this at the command line and it works just fine. I have a similar problem with xlock - I try to have a menu selection for it: Lock: !"xlock ; date" and sometimes it works and sometimes it just puts the terminal into a weird state where characters are echoed but no newline seems to be working. Anyone have any tips on this area of menu generation? -- Larry W.
