Before this is tossed off as another absurd wreck.audio idea, consider the fact that many pieces of compact test equipment use rechargeable batteries rather than large filter capacitors in their power supplies. The portability feacture is "icing on the cake." NiCads have such low internal impedances that they can effectively appear as several Farad capacitors in power supply applications. Now for the inane comments!
