Hi,

I am looking for a book on the hardware design of video display controllers
(the memory mapped sort in simple micro-computers). I have 
seen the book by Lancaster called the 'Video Cookbook' but I am looking for
something more up-to-date (I believe this book is getting on for 10 years
old). I have looked at the general microcomputer design books and they
seem to avoid the subject all together - where do you learn these sorts of
things from ?

Any pointers to magazine/journal articals would also be welcome.
