Phil Katz has just released version 3.61 of his PKARC/PKXARC programs
to make and extract files from ARCchives.

This is an upgrade/bug fix and is intended to replace 3.6.  Please
discontinue use of 3.6.  There are some potentially serious problems
which have been corrected in 3.61.

I downloaded the new version from Phil's BBS in order to assure its
authenticity.  It is now available via standard anonymous FTP as:
