I don't know why telebit did so badly in that review.  For one thing, the
modem can go up to 18000 bps.  The test restricted computer/modem connections
to 9600 baud.  Also, the kermit, xmodem and uucp protocol spoofing would
have made the t-bit a winner had the review included those sorts of
transfers.
