  I can solve part of your problem: Sprint is pretty cheap, and supports
mail merge.  It also emulates Wordstar... but it does not contain any
sort of database.  If you already have one of the databases it supports, you
can import data really easily; otherwise, you'd just have to write the data
in text files by hand and import it that way (which I believe Sprint also does).
  (In case you weren't aware, Sprint is the new word processor from Borland.)
