Lansing Lines: 7 I cannot speak for the version of Emacs you are using, but Freemacs for the IBM PC has, in addition to C-h t, a useful little gem: C-h a. It prompts you for a string, and then returns all the command names with that string as a substring. It also has C-h b which will create a buffer showing all the key bindings. Together, the result is a reasonably complete help facility. Bill Su
