But just let me take this opportunity to tell everyone that stevie is a great little editor if you're a die-hard 'vi' user like I am (it's part of my upbringing... the first unix shop I ever worked for only supported vi). Anyhow, the port went incredibly smoothly, thus proving that you can indeed write portable unix software if you try! The only problem I have at all is the usual problem with limited address space -- since stevie keeps the buffer in memory, you're limited to editing files of less than 35Kbytes (just like mined 8-( ). On that note, if anyone REALLY wants to do something useful for MINIX, then let's define a large model image and come up with a large model compiler! -- Jim Paradis, Encore Computer (.signature undergoing renovations.
