I've encountered itemlists several times lately and have not found
very complete descriptions by RTFMing. I've seen at least 3 formats
and (in some BLISS code) some nice ways of declaring ($ITMLST_DECL)
and initializing ($ITMLST_INIT). But I use FORTRAN and/or C here.

Have I missed something in the manuals or elsewhere that you know of?
Any additional info would be appreciated (and summarized back if
requested).

(The LIB$ simplifications which avoid using itemlist are of no use to me.)
