What I meant, and I didn't relay properly, is that I despise programming in a graphics environment. The //gs has this as an OPTION. And the //gs has some HARD-WIRED overhead that you can NOT avoid. Why else would it run at 2.5Mhz (and sometimes a little slower) when the clock speed is 2.8Mhz?
