My version of VIP has a GEM interface!  Actually, you can get it either
way, or both for a low combined price.  The version you saw was for
migrants from MS-DOS machines.

I've been using VIP for a while, and while the screen updating for the
GEM version is a bit slow, it is very full-featured.  It is 1-2-3
compatible, which I have found very convenient.
