HI!. I'm at least one of the friends Chris mentioned and would like to stick
my nose in this one.

If Chris want's to argue, that's fine with me.  I too am a loyal KERMIT user
and Chris and I talked about this at some length the other night.

I have had no problems with our termcaps and kermit on either of our systems,
(VAX and Unix) but I don't use all of our editors/programs available, while 
Chris does.  So if Chris said he found a problem, chances are it was real!

If the NEW kermit hasn't corrected the problems, then I PERSONALLY think that
the KERMIT 'development team' should listen to Chris!
