I'm trying to install a Seagate ST-4096 80Mb hard disk into an older HP-Vectra AT compatible. The HP Rep told me I would need a BIOS upgrade which I got. The problem is that the drive type for the 4096 (35) is not in my new BIOS drive table. I tried using the closest type that is in the table, with some success. I managed to partition and format a chunck of the hard disk, but when I try to boot off the hard disk, I get a "Hard disk error". Am I trying the impossible? Any help is appericiated. -- LEOR AMIKAM Georgia Insitute of Technology, PO Box 34602 Atlanta Georgia, 30332 uucp: ...!{akgua,allegra,amd,hplabs,ihnp4,seismo,ut-ngp}!gatech!gitpyr!leor ARPA: leor@pyr.ocs.gatech.edu
