My experiences with vt102 emulation (on an QuadHPG in EGA mode) is that kermit
sometimes switches into 43 line mode. (Thanks fine with me.)  All attempts to
clear the screen while in 43 line mode fail.

Since I connect to a 4.2BSD unix machine, I assume that my termcap is correct.
Perhaps you could email/post a correct termcap to me/comp.sources.misc.
