I am trying to convert RGB to HSI (hue, saturation, intensity).

I have some formulae to do this, but they are not clear about
what to do when G = B, etc.

Where can I find the exact formulae to do this?
(e.g. all you hackers that have implemented this
in hardware, what algorithms did you use?)

(Sorry for posting this to more than one news group, but I
don't know who would be most likely to know...)
