Lines: 25 I'm putting together a Public Domain archive site for rutgers. It will be housed on a Sun 3/180. The material that will be stored will be obtained from other sites on various networks, using ftp. These archives will include INFO-MAC, the MSDOS collection at Simtel20 (as long as my ARPA connection is around) as well as others. I want to be able to update my collection by getting the new files every night. I want some sort of script or program that will do this automatically, by comparing what I currently have to whats on each particular archive site. Is someone already doing this type of thing on a Unix machine? I don't want to reinvent the wheel. But if I must, I will. Please reply directly to me as I don't read all of the newsgroups I have posted to.
