What kind of font? If it's for a laserwriter, you need to buy Fontographer. There really isn't any other choice. For imagewriter or screen/bitmap fonts, there are a bunch of options. There's a (primitive) font editor in ResEdit. There's also a little brother to Fontographer who's name I forget for bitmaps.
