My screen previewer needs fonts in small sizes, say smaller than 174 d.p.i. The font cmtix, where x is any number, seems to have a bug, in sizes smaller than 174 d.p.i. The lower case letter "l" has gaps in the stem. I have tried to fix this by patching the .pxl files, to no avail - the pxtopk program I have doesn't work. Does anyone know a sure-fire way to patch fonts, preferably on an IBM-PC? Alternatively, how do I change the metafont input files to make the output look ok? Doug McDonald mcdonald@uiucuxe
