We're trying to establish a UUCP connection from Europe (The Netherlands)
between our Trailblazer Plus (3.01) and a Ven-Tel MD212-3E modem in the U.S.
but we don't even succeed in getting a connection to the other side
(the CONNECT message even isn't given).

We've tried all the Trailblazer options (S50/S90/S91 etc.) and we also tried
to establish a connection with a non-Trailblazer but that also didn't
succeed.

What's so special on the Ven-Tel modem? What is the solution?
