The connection hangs at the same spot every time; changing modems back to a ARK 24K solves the problem. On the other hand, two RS 6000's talking to each other using uucp at 9600 go about as fast as the same two machines connected with wires (870 bytes/sec). What I'm looking for are dialers/initialization scripts which might point out what I had to do (I've got a copy of the comp.sources.? TB+/HST dialer). Thanks.
