My opinion is that the popularity of trailblazers on unix machines relates to the difficulty in switching to a better protocol for high-speed links with a turnaround delay. Dos users would just use Zmodem, sliding windows kermit, or a commercial alternative that will also work through packet switches or over satellite links regardless of the modem. What unix users really need is a replacement for uucico that can run in streaming mode. Les Mikesell
