I noted with interest that _all_ the recommendations from the US included a reference to `Oh, Pascal', a text available in the UK but not widely used, though the publisher says it is currently available from stock. There is also a Teacher's Guide to `Oh, Pascal'. In case anyone wants to try to get hold of these texts, here are the details: Author: D Cooper and M Clancy /* The student text */ Title: Oh, Pascal Publ: W W Norton ISBN: 0393 95515 X Price: 12.95 pounds Author: D Cooper /* The teacher's guide */ Title: Teaching introductory programming with `Oh, Pascal' Publ: W W Norton ISBN: 0393 95447 1 Price: 6.95 pounds -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ From: Ken Johnson (Half Man Half Bicycle) Address: AI Applications Institute, The University, EDINBURGH Phone: 031-225 4464 ext 212 Email: k.johnson@ed.ac.uk
