Gee, I thought I was the only one having trouble with the
printer driver, 'cause I didn't see anyone else complaining!

Anyway, the bad news is that the driver was, and is, riddled
with potential timing problems - especially 'cause it
interacts with some nasty kludgy code in the clock driver.
Its been said before, but all together now: it needs
to be rewritten from scratch.  And yeah, one of these days I'll
do something about it.

The good news is that I have a super dooper kludged version
which at least works on *my* system (PROMPT> XT, STAR NL-10).  I
havn't got the source handy, but if no-one else posts anything
better I'll post mine real soon (the weekend maybe?).
