I have an Acer-1100 '386 PC with a multitech (now acer) mono graphics adapator
and a multitech monitor (25x80, amber).

The problem is that the monitor has a very annoying high frequency whine that
kicks in every so often.  I know its the monitor 'cause i can turn the monitor
off and the whine disappears.  It doesn't always whine, but i haven't been able
to figure out a pattern to predict when it will whine.

Is there any way i can fix this problem, or do i "just have to live with it?"
