Please be aware that Apple has a free Rom upgrade program
for owners of Localtalk PC cards with version A and B 
roms.  Check your card, find the rom (only socketed chip
if i remember correctly) and look for a number like
342-0007-B (don't have one in front of me so digits may
be off a bit).  If the number ends in A or B you should
get an upgrade to version C.  There is a memo to dealers/
service centers about this, or consult applelink.  Apparently
the problem involves incorrect checksums in some cases.
