As part of the software initialization I had it do a TDR check. It was useful for testing the cable, and more importantly, the drop cable and connectors. However, there were circumstances where the TDR check failed -- mainly on broadband networks and over-extended Ethernets. If you do the TDR it would probably be useful to add an option to bypass the test for those nets on which it fails but not as a result of an error. --karl--
