Nope, no funny business is going on. A man named Frank Perdue runs a business in (I'm told) the eastern United States that supplies chickens (for food--I assume they are prepared). However, the moderators you know and love (not to mention chide, from time to time) are at Purdue University. Note the difference in spelling. In the quoted text above the address (referring to the university, not the chicken guy) is misspelled. Needless to say, this happens quite a bit. I guess that some of the sites that have to deal with this particular mistake often have come up with some original ways of dealing with it. I find this one rather amusing (I have to deal with it myself, sometimes). The official submission addresses are: For binaries: amiga-binaries-request@j.cc.purdue.edu For sources: amiga-sources-request@j.cc.purdue.edu Also, if you want to address questions, comments or war stories to the moderators, they can be reached at: Pat White: ain@j.cc.purdue.edu Rob Tillotson: sentinel@killer.dallas.tx.us, and, soon, others Brent Woods: woodsb@killer.dallas.tx.us Remember, if you want chicken, go to Frank PERdue. If you want an institution of higher education (i.e., Undue PURversity) write to PURdue. -- Brent Woods, Co-Moderator, comp.{sources,binaries}.amiga USENET: woodsb@killer.dallas.tx.us USNAIL: 320 Brown St., #406 / W.
