I've been an A1000 owner for ... has it *really* been 2 years, and I've had nothing but good to say about it. From initial indications, the 2000 will provoke the same reactions. I'd like to thank Dave Haynie and crew for the wonderfully clean and sharp looking motherboard (Rev 4.4). I've looked at the guts of a number of PClones and I think this puppy beats them all. (Disclaimer: I are not a injuneer. But I are heavily biased towards the Ami and against the Peeseas. :-) Actually the subject line is a little misleading, I have only one jeer. I question the wisdom putting the keyboard, and game ports on the front panel of the box. I have a tiny desk any it's tough to keep the keyboard from bending the keyboard and mouse connectors. Other than this, I'm pleased with the design. The jet engine fan is going to take some getting used to, :^), but I'm pleased that it's there. I've no wish to see any upcoming cards turn to puddles of solder and plastic. I admit that the extra RAM, the battery backed clock, and the KS in ROM don't hurt too much either. Amid all the screams of worried Amiga users who fear orphandom, I'd like to raise a hearty, albeit corny, yell of "Hip hip hoorah!" for the folks who brought, and continue to bring us the Amiga. [Yes. You may all vomit now, as you wish. ;-] Gary -- Gary Heffelfinger --- Employed by, but not the mouthpiece of Clemson University. ---=== Amiga. The computer for the best of us. ===---
