I have 2 internal floppies, and I've noticed that when I access one or more of these guys, my monitor screen dims every-so-slightly. Now I've got this nasty old ribbon cable connecting my monitor (a Sony) to the 23 pin connector. Has anyone seen this sort of behavior before? If it's related to that ribbon cable, could someone give me some suggestions about how I might shield it? I will consider buying a new cable if I can get some assurance that it really could be the problem.
