The most useful suggestion for transfer to Mac graphics has been the use of Macview 2.0. I have 1.2 and it supposedly also has the feature to convert an IFF file to macpaint files. I don't have 2.0, but have the older 1.2 filed away so I tried it. It produced a file which via kermit I got transfered to one of our mac's at work, but to no avail, the macpaint applications would not recognize it as a proper paint file. From the notes with 1.2 the author seemed to indicate that the Amiga to Mac feature was added in 1.2, and that he had not tested it, but merely followed Mac techical data on how to do it. My question is since 1.2 is not workable has anyone used the 2.0 version to actually transfer Amiga IFF to the Mac. I am not certain I want to send $10 to the author for 2.0 if it does not work (I have his address with the docs on the 1.2 version). Could someone tell me where I might be able to ftp version 2.0 of Macview so I can try it out, or have any of you out there used it successfully? Also I am interested in getting the Amiga utility to transfer IFF to the GIF format. There are GIF converters for the Mac and this is the other solution suggested in my Email to the way I could transfer to the Mac my Amiga graphics. Again if I could get info on where I could ftp to get a IFF to GIF converter it would be much appreciated.
