It would be real nice if you could just use the IOS stream id variable as the FORTRAN file unit, but this is not correct. Is there a way to work with this instead of having to use IOS_$PUT? It's not that we can't handle doing it, but porting programs that are huge can get kind of tedious. If it's not possible, then how about it? Let's see a call IOS_$GET_FTN_UNIT or something.
